Article HOSTING CONTROLLER: SETTING UP FOLDER PERMISSION

In some event, certain web folders may requires FULL Permission to allow uploading into the folder as some Web Application may need this function. Below, you may find steps on how to login into the Windows Hosting Controlller to assign the permission to the respective folder.

(NOTE: YourDomainName is referring to your registered domain with us. For example, your website is http://www.exxelnet.com so, your domain name is exxelnet.com)

To login to hosting controller, go to http://www.YourDomainName:port (Where port can be 8077 or 8787)

STEP 1) Start an internet browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox or Apple Safari;
STEP 2) Login to your hosting controller above;
STEP 2) Login to the hosting controller using the FTP username and password;
STEP 3) On the left panel, Click "Domains";
STEP 4) On the right, your "domain name" will appear. Click on the "Properties" BUTTON next to it;
STEP 5) Scroll down until you find "ACL Manager", click into it;
STEP 6) Under the "FOLDERS" box, click at "WWW" to branch down more folders;
STEP 7) Keep clicking until the respective folders appeared under "Listing of Files / Folders";
STEP 8) Click on the RADIO BUTTON (o) next to the folder that wish to set the permission;
STEP 9) Click "View/Set/Remove Permission" BUTTON to open up the permission listing;
STEP 10) Choose "astreem.com_web" under the "Users" box;
STEP 11) Choose "FULL PERMISSIONS" under the "Permissions" box;
STEP 12) Choose "Both (Files, Folders)" under the "Inheritance" box;
STEP 13) Click "Add/Change" to apply the permission;
